Planting seeds for future careers 🌱💫 The Crew and @Scotts_MGro welcomed youth from the National 4-H Council’s Beyond Re Via @ColumbusCrew on X

What happened: The stadium pitch became a classroom for turfgrass science, lawn care and professional-field maintenance. Crew grounds staff demonstrated their work while Scotts research personnel explained the science behind the playing surface.

Why it matters: The clinic introduced participants to skills and career paths in turf management and landscaping. It also extended the Beyond Ready Program’s focus on practical learning and community involvement.

By the numbers: Fifty youths ages 11 to 16 participated. Beyond Ready aims to expand 4-H participation from nearly 6 million young people to 10 million annually by 2030.

What to watch: The program’s next benchmark is broadening its annual reach toward the 2030 target.
