What happened: All five Dallas starters scored in double figures in Tuesday's victory over Portland. Paige Bueckers led the way with 22 points and 11 assists.

Why it matters: Dallas can finish anywhere from second to eighth with five games remaining. The berth completes a one-year turnaround from the WNBA's worst record.

By the numbers: The Wings improved to 23-16, setting a team record for regular-season wins. Their 13-win improvement follows a 10-34 finish in 2025.

What to watch: Dallas hosts Connecticut on Sunday before the FIBA World Cup break. Playoff seeding remains unsettled.
