What happened: The No. 2 designation was attached to Wolf on Oct. 15 during the 2026-27 preseason window. Wolf recently produced 23 points and 12 rebounds with two assists in G League action.

Why it matters: Preseason is the primary evaluation window for younger frontcourt options before opening-night rotations set. A 23-and-12 double-double with a steal and a block speaks directly to rebounding and defensive activity. Efficiency matters in that contest, with 50% shooting noted from the same outing.

What to watch: Preseason rotation choices will clarify whether Wolf stays in the parent-club mix or gets an extended G League run.
