What happened: Darnell Washington secured a physical touchdown reception during Sunday's regular-season PIT-NO matchup on NFL Network. The scoring grab adds red-zone finishing to a profile that kept drawing notice for highlight catches earlier in October.

Why it matters: Selected 93rd overall in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, the tight end recorded 31 receptions for 364 yards across 16 appearances in 2025, per ESPN. Converting contested targets in the end zone expands his utility beyond inline blocking during the 2026 regular-season campaign.

By the numbers: 80.2: Washington's tight-end-leading pass-block grade entering October 2026.

What to watch: PIT-NO regular-season action continues on NFL Network as the Sunday slate unfolds.
