What happened: David Njoku created after little was available during AZvsLAC. The play gave him another live-game touch as his new role continues to take shape.

Why it matters: Njoku is working into a 2026 offense after Wire Report previously covered his reported one-year deal. For a veteran tight end, early regular-season usage matters as route share and red-zone work start to separate from summer plans.

What to watch: Watch whether Njoku keeps getting designed looks or remains a situational option as the opener unfolds.
