What happened: Deion Sanders visited Denver's training camp as the Nuggets opened preseason work in Boulder. The appearance brought the Colorado coach into camp during Denver's first preseason stretch ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Why it matters: The Nuggets entered camp after agreeing to a two-way deal with Ryan Nembhard and after Nikola Jokic said he plans to sign an extension after the season, keeping early focus on roster shape and continuity. Sanders' stop also adds another Denver-Colorado crossover in Boulder around Deion Sanders as camp opens.

What to watch: Denver's remaining camp sessions and preseason games will show how quickly the rotation settles before opening night.
