What happened: Kyle Shanahan said Demarcus Robinson will not return until after the Week 8 bye. Robinson went on injured reserve Sept. 26 with a high ankle sprain.

Why it matters: The extended absence thins receiver depth with Deebo Samuel sidelined by a hamstring injury. San Francisco opened the practice window for Christian Kirk during the same stretch.

By the numbers: Robinson caught 22 passes for 276 yards and 1 touchdown in 14 games in 2025. He was drafted in the fourth round in 2016, 126th overall.

What to watch: Watch for a practice designation coming out of the bye. A return would restock depth for the second half.
