Additionally, Demario Davis and Harrison Phillips did not practice today (veteran rest day) Via @nyjets on X

What happened: Both veterans received a DNP designation categorized as rest. Wednesday opened the week's on-field preparation.

Why it matters: Davis entered the league in 2012 and Phillips in 2018, so midweek rest fits their veteran status. Keeping the rotation fresh protects defensive depth like Davis for the weekend.

By the numbers: Davis: 143 tackles, 0.5 sacks in 17 games in 2025. Phillips: 60 tackles, 0.5 sacks in 17 games in 2025.

What to watch: Thursday and Friday participation will indicate whether both remain on a normal veteran schedule.
