The @Dbacks are 8-0 against the Giants this season! https://t.co/HmTki4RwCH

What happened: The Arizona Diamondbacks are 8-0 against the San Francisco Giants this season, a clean sweep of the season series to date. The two clubs meet again in Arizona with the Giants still searching for their first win against the Diamondbacks in 2026.

Why it matters: The lopsided head-to-head has helped Arizona claw back to .500 at 42-42 while San Francisco has sunk to 35-49. Every game against the Diamondbacks has become a missed opportunity for a Giants club that can ill afford them in a crowded standings picture.

By the numbers: Arizona has taken all eight meetings, including the last three: an 8-2 win on June 30, a 5-4 win on June 29, and a 3-2 win on May 27, plus 7-5 and 6-2 results on May 26 and May 25. Arizona enters at 42-42 (last 5: WLLLW), San Francisco at 35-49 (last 5: LWWLL).

What to watch: Watch whether the Giants can finally break through against Arizona, or whether the Diamondbacks push the season series to a perfect 9-0.
