What happened: The Arizona Diamondbacks have officially called for fan support as MLB All-Star voting enters its peak phase, highlighting second baseman Ketel Marte as a primary candidate. Marte has been a mainstay in the desert lineup, appearing in 65 games through the first half of the season.

Why it matters: Arizona sits at 37-36 and remains in the hunt for a National League Wild Card spot despite trailing the division-leading Dodgers. Ketel Marte's veteran presence and offensive production at second base are critical as the team seeks to improve its consistency against winning opponents.

By the numbers: Marte is slashing .254 with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs through June 17. The Diamondbacks currently occupy third place in the NL West, 9.5 games out of first place while maintaining a .507 winning percentage.

What to watch: All-Star voting continues through June as Arizona prepares for a critical stretch of games against division rivals.
