What happened: DL Hall entered a tied game with the bases loaded and stranded all three runners for the Milwaukee Brewers. The relief appearance kept the score level as the teams continued their series opener.

Why it matters: Navigating the high-leverage situation prevented Milwaukee from falling behind in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. The Brewers previously relied on early offense, including a go-ahead swing from William Contreras, before turning to their relievers.

By the numbers: Chourio hit his first home run of the postseason in the bottom of the third inning against Robbie Ray. The 420-foot shot had an exit velocity of 113.3 mph and would have been a home run in 29 of the 30 major league parks.

What to watch: Milwaukee will try to turn the defensive stop into a victory in the opening game of the series. The Los Angeles Dodgers already secured a win in Game 1 of their respective NLDS matchup.
