What happened: Donovan Mitchell is heading into his 10th NBA season as Cleveland begins preseason work for 2026-27. The milestone arrives the same day Mitchell signed a multi-year deal with Adidas, extending a major off-court partnership at the start of camp.

Why it matters: For Cleveland, the marker reinforces continuity around a star who already owns the franchise's 71-point benchmark. It also lands as the Cavaliers push into camp with Mitchell still central to both the roster's identity and the club's broader preseason spotlight.

What to watch: Next up is how Cleveland frames Mitchell's role through camp and preseason as the 2026-27 opener approaches. Further team updates will show whether the Year 10 milestone stays ceremonial or becomes part of a larger on-court storyline.
