What happened: DP reached a rare statistical mark Monday in Texas. Only Cooper Flagg and LeBron James previously matched each of those single-game numbers as teenagers in NBA history.

Why it matters: The historical benchmark places the performance in elite company, highlighting early-career production rarely achieved before age 20. Establishing multi-category output early in the regular season reflects rapid development against NBA competition.

By the numbers: Flagg has recorded 25.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in 2026-27 through 6 games. James has recorded 16.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game in 2026-27 through 6 games.

What to watch: Both players continue regular-season action as the 2026-27 schedule unfolds.
