What happened: Per PFF, quarterback Drake Maye threw nine touchdown passes against one interception from Week 4 through Week 6 of the 2026 NFL regular season. That stretch reversed an opening three-week span in which Maye threw three deep interceptions in the season opener and totaled one touchdown with six picks through Week 3.

Why it matters: The midseason surge prompted PFF to raise Maye in its Oct. 14 quarterback grades after CBS analyst Pete Prisco noted his resilience across the prior two weeks. His recent ball security aligns much closer to his 2025 regular-season pace, when he posted 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions across 17 games per ESPN, and lifted him to third overall in Justin Boone's Week 6 fantasy trade value charts.

By the numbers: Across six weeks of the 2026 season, Maye holds a combined 10-to-7 touchdown-to-interception mark, shifting from 0.33 passing touchdowns and 2.0 interceptions per week in Weeks 1-3 to 3.0 touchdowns and 0.33 interceptions per week in Weeks 4-6.

What to watch: Maye enters Week 7 looking to extend a three-week stretch in which he has held turnovers to a single interception.
