What happened: Green was downgraded from doubtful and will miss Saturday's road game against the Phoenix Suns. He joins Steph Curry, Brandin Podziemski, and Al Horford on the inactive list for the second leg of Golden State's back-to-back.

Why it matters: Sitting four rotation regulars leaves the Warriors shorthanded across both the frontcourt and primary ball-handling duties. With Kristaps Porzingis having already missed camp and the preseason, Golden State's interior depth faces an immediate early-season test.

What to watch: Golden State will reassess Green's status ahead of its next scheduled contest following the Phoenix trip.
