What happened: Drew Rasmussen carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning of ALDS Game 1 against the Yankees. He stifled the opposing lineup from the first pitch before yielding his first hit on a late double.

Why it matters: Pitching deep into a postseason opener secures immediate series momentum and preserves high-leverage relievers. The commanding outing establishes a clear advantage for the remainder of the round.

What to watch: The club will attempt to leverage this pitching momentum into a broader series advantage.
