What happened: The starter has held the New York Yankees hitless over 21 outs to open the postseason at Tropicana Field. Drew Rasmussen continues to pitch efficiently to maintain the bid deep into the contest.

Why it matters: Postseason no-hitters are exceedingly rare, and an extended start provides an immediate pitching advantage in the opener. The performance positions the home side to take early control of the best-of-five series.

What to watch: Attention shifts to whether the starter will pitch the eighth inning or if the bullpen will be summoned.
