What happened: Detroit opened its 2026-27 slate against Boston on NBC and Peacock on Oct. 20. Robinson went 5-of-8 from three for 20 points. The 18-0 burst came in under three minutes and lifted the home crowd.

Why it matters: The surge erased most of a 22-point deficit and left Detroit down nine in the third. Five made threes from Robinson supplied the spacing that fueled the comeback push.

By the numbers: Robinson: 20 PTS, 5-8 3PM. Pistons: 18-0 run in under 3 minutes. Deficit trimmed from 22 to nine in third, later to four with 7:34 left in fourth.

What to watch: Detroit tries to complete the comeback in the fourth after cutting the gap to four. The opening-night triple-header continues with two more NBC games.
