What happened: Marvin Harrison Jr., Chris Bell, and D.K. Metcalf each recorded separation on 50.0% of their 2026 regular-season targets to tie for the second-lowest mark in PFF's tracking. Brown, who had a catch ruled incomplete upon review on Sept. 20, trails that trio by 11.5 percentage points as the only wideout below the 50% threshold.

Why it matters: Target separation rate measures how often a receiver creates open throwing windows, leaving offenses with tighter passing margins when half or more of a target share is contested. The leaderboard spans multiple career stages, including Bell, whom the Miami Dolphins selected 94th overall out of Louisville in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft, and Brown, a third-round pick (82nd overall out of North Carolina) by the Washington Commanders in the 2021 NFL Draft.

By the numbers: 2026 NFL regular-season lowest target separation rate among WRs (per PFF): Dyami Brown 38.5%; Marvin Harrison Jr. 50.0%; Chris Bell 50.0%; D.K. Metcalf 50.0%; Kevin Coleman Jr. 52.9%. 4 percentage points.

What to watch: Sunday slate action continues across the NFL on Oct. 18 as passing offenses navigate tight coverage windows.
