What happened: Philadelphia waived Jaydon Blue, leaving Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce as the only running backs on the 53-man roster. Field Yates noted the thin depth chart could signal Barkley is back in the mix for Week 7 against Dallas.

Why it matters: Barkley's availability shapes Philadelphia's ground game amid an 82-yards-per-game average. A return would stabilize the rotation ahead of a division matchup with Dallas.

By the numbers: Dameon Pierce: 14 carries for 36 yards in 5 games in 2025, split between Houston and Kansas City. Jaydon Blue: 129 rushing yards in 5 games in 2025.

What to watch: Philadelphia's practice updates ahead of Sunday will clarify Barkley's status for the Cowboys game.
