What happened: Lane Johnson retired after a Philadelphia tenure that began as the No. 4 overall pick in 2013 out of Oklahoma. Cam Jurgens, the 2022 second-round pick at No. 51 out of Nebraska, was traded Oct. 7 with a 2028 second-rounder coming back.

Why it matters: Philadelphia must now replace starters at tackle and on the interior during the regular season. Losing both in the same week removes continuity from the unit tasked with protecting the quarterback.

By the numbers: Lane Johnson: drafted 2013, No. 4 overall (Oklahoma); 10 games in 2025. Cam Jurgens: drafted 2022, No. 51 overall (Nebraska); traded Oct.

What to watch: Watch who takes first-team reps at right tackle and center in practice this week.
