What happened: Ed Werder publicly praised musician Stevie Nicks, describing her as 'the greatest.' The remark came in response to archival material highlighting Nicks alongside Lindsey Buckingham in Fleetwood Mac.

Why it matters: Werder is a veteran NFL reporter who has covered professional football for decades. The non-football commentary reflects a cultural appreciation without any bearing on NFL standings or team transactions.

What to watch: Werder continues his coverage of the 2026 NFL regular season across upcoming weekend matchups.
