What happened: Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 to even their playoff series at 2-2. The win sends the series back to San Antonio for a pivotal Game 5. Edwards dedicated the performance to his late mother on Mother's Day.

Why it matters: A 2-2 series flips home-court leverage and resets the round as a best-of-three, with Game 5 now the swing game. Minnesota's response after falling behind shows the series is no longer one-sided, and Edwards reasserting himself as the offensive engine changes the math for the closing games. The Wolves doing this on the heels of a Game 4 that saw Victor Wembanyama ejected adds another layer to how San Antonio adjusts at home.

What to watch: Watch Game 5 in San Antonio for the Spurs' response and whether Wembanyama returns to form after the Game 4 ejection. Edwards' health and minutes load will be the key Wolves storyline.
