What happened: The takeaway came Friday, six days after Burke recorded a sack and another forced fumble. A teammate recovered the loose ball.

Why it matters: Burke is competing for an outside linebacker depth spot ahead of initial 53-man roster decisions. Another turnover strengthens his production-based case as preseason evaluations close.

By the numbers: Burke has forced two fumbles and recorded one sack over the past two preseason games. His Week 2 line also included one tackle for loss and two passes defensed.

What to watch: Initial roster cuts will show whether Burke's late preseason production earned him a spot.
