What happened: ESPN reported Tuesday the vote came this week on a formal NBA proposal. The proposal envisioned one combined NBA Europe operation.

Why it matters: The vote preserves separate NBA and EuroLeague operations in Europe. The NBA has pursued separate agreements with European soccer clubs for its own league plan.

What to watch: Watch whether the NBA advances its standalone Europe league without EuroLeague clubs.
