What happened: Evander entered the match in the 68th minute as a second-half substitute for Tyrell Malacia, who signed through mid-2027 in September, with the side trailing 3-2.

Why it matters: Malacia exited after drawing an early foul just outside the penalty box to set up a free-kick opportunity. The late attacking adjustment did not produce an equalizer before the match ended at the same 3-2 margin.

What to watch: Lineup usage for both Evander and Malacia will bear watching entering the next regular-season fixture.
