What happened: The Atlanta Falcons do not plan to release Tua Tagovailoa, according to Ian Rapoport. The quarterback remains with the organization amid recent changes to the depth chart.

Why it matters: Tagovailoa missed Atlanta's previous game after he was limited in practice with an oblique injury. Retaining him preserves depth at the position as the team evaluates its starting options.

What to watch: The Falcons play the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, when their starting quarterback decision should be finalized.
