What happened: Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Tommy Rees praised the organization's addition of Tanner Engstrand. Rees stated the franchise hit a home run by bringing Engstrand onto the coaching staff.

Why it matters: Engstrand joined the staff in February after serving as the New York Jets offensive coordinator in 2025. The collaboration among the coaches has drawn attention amid Atlanta's strong offensive execution with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. directing the unit.

What to watch: The Falcons will continue to lean on their offensive staff's design to maintain momentum during the 2026 season.
