What happened: FC Dallas closed out a dominant home victory with a late run of goals. The result moved the club to second place in the Western Conference.

Why it matters: Second place secures home-field advantage for the opening Western Conference playoff rounds. Holding that position changes the path through the postseason bracket and raises the stakes of every remaining result.

What to watch: Dallas now turns to its next postseason-round matchup with seeding still shaping the bracket. Availability and starting lineup choices are the next indicators to track.
