What happened: Both defensemen cleared after being placed on waivers Sept. 23 for assignment to the Colorado Eagles. Saige Weinstein, also a defenseman, was reassigned to Eagles camp in the same announcement.

Why it matters: The moves trim the NHL camp roster during preseason ahead of the 2025-26 season. Keeping three defensemen in the system preserves call-up depth on the blue line.

What to watch: The trio will compete in Eagles camp for AHL roles. Further NHL camp cuts will set the opening-night roster.
