What happened: Adam Schefter said on the Pat McAfee Show that John Harbaugh tackled Malik Nabers before the opener to help restore his confidence. New York finished the night with a 28-20 win over Dallas.

Why it matters: The anecdote adds context to how Nabers entered a game the Giants closed out with a win. It also keeps attention on him after his availability drew focus ahead of Week 1.

By the numbers: The final score was 28-20. Dominic Zvada had the game-high with 4 points, while Brandon Aubrey scored 2.

What to watch: The next marker is how New York follows its opening win in the next outing. Any new Nabers update will stay in focus after the pregame confidence story surfaced.
