What happened: Per @DDuggan21, Burns tore his meniscus in addition to the ACL tear confirmed Sept. 28. New York placed the pass rusher on injured reserve Sept. 29 after he played Sunday through ankle pain.

Why it matters: Burns posted 67 tackles with 16.5 sacks across 17 games with New York in 2025. Carolina drafted the Florida State product 16th overall in 2019 before his move to New York.
