What happened: The San Francisco Giants are heavily promoting an All-Star voting campaign for Casey Schmitt based on his recent offensive production. The designated hitter currently boasts 13 home runs, ranking second among all players at his position in the National League.

Why it matters: Schmitt's emergence as a legitimate power threat has provided critical stability to the middle of the order during the 2026 campaign. Securing an All-Star selection would validate his breakout season and cement his status as an everyday contributor.

What to watch: Fan voting will continue over the coming weeks as Schmitt looks to maintain his slugging pace and secure his first career All-Star nod.
