What happened: Per ESPN, Memphis is moving on from guard Jordan Hawkins via waivers. New Orleans had dealt him to Memphis weeks earlier.

Why it matters: The quick reversal ends a brief Memphis stint before the preseason. It frees a roster spot while Hawkins becomes available to the rest of the league.

What to watch: Waiver order now determines whether another team claims Hawkins or he reaches free agency.
