What happened: Cleveland's featured group includes Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Peyton Watson, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen as preseason work begins. Harden's arrival followed a three-year, $97 million agreement and his first Cavaliers Media Day for Year 18.

Why it matters: That setup puts two high-usage guards next to Cleveland's Mobley-Allen frontcourt, making lineup balance the central basketball question of camp. Watson's role on the wing also matters if the club wants to defend size without shrinking its spacing.

What to watch: Exhibition rotations should show who handles primary initiation late in possessions and whether this five-man group opens games together. Early camp availability will also set the tone for Cleveland's preseason ramp-up.
