What happened: Atlanta kept preseason buildup moving Friday with a Gatorade-branded basketball update from camp. The timing places the club in early October work ahead of the 2026-27 opener.

Why it matters: Atlanta enters preseason after a stretch of back-end roster moves, with the Hawks signing Kobe Johnson and Cameron Corhen while waiving Keon Johnson in an Exhibit 10 shuffle late last month. Camp days now carry weight for the final roster picture and early rotation reps.

What to watch: Watch for formal camp updates, preseason availability and any final roster trimming as opening night gets closer.
