What happened: Miami's exhibition schedule starts Saturday night in Quebec City as the NBA preseason opens. NBA TV has the national broadcast, with TSN/TSN+ carrying the game in Canada.

Why it matters: The first runout matters because Miami spent the final week of September adding camp competition around the edges of the roster. Preseason minutes are the first real sorting mechanism before regular-season roles start to firm up later this month.

What to watch: Watch the first rotation and how quickly those late additions enter the mix. Miami's early preseason usage should offer the clearest hint yet at the back-end roster battle.
