What happened: Iván Herrera launched a home run in the bottom of the third frame to put his club ahead 3-2 over Milwaukee. The timely blast interrupted early momentum from the visiting dugout.

Why it matters: Consistent offensive production against division rivals remains critical for postseason positioning. Capitalizing on scoring opportunities helps relieve pressure from the starting rotation.

What to watch: The St. Louis bullpen will be tasked with protecting the narrow advantage for the remainder of the contest.
