What happened: Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller agreed to a five-year, $209 million rookie-scale contract extension. VaynerSports representatives AJ Vaynerchuk and Joey Middleton disclosed the agreement to ESPN.

Why it matters: The deal secures Charlotte's young cornerstone ahead of the 2026-27 season. It lands near the figure cited when the sides were discussing a $200M-plus extension in September.

What to watch: Charlotte continues preseason with Miller under long-term control. The team is expected to formalize the contract before the regular season.
