What happened: Jackson Chourio enters October with momentum after reaching 25 home runs during the late-season push. Recent attention around him has centered on power at the plate and strong outfield defense.

Why it matters: That profile matters more now because short October games often turn on one extra-base hit or one run saved. Chourio also arrives hot after collecting seven hits in just over 24 hours earlier in September, showing this surge did not appear out of nowhere.

What to watch: Watch whether this late-season power carries into the opening October games and whether pitchers start working around him more carefully.
