What happened: Allen reached the 500-game mark in his debut last week. The club holds a pregame ceremony Tuesday night in his honor. Allen called the path a long journey with great and low moments.

Why it matters: Five hundred appearances marks durability at goaltender, a workload few reach. The ceremony positions the veteran as a stabilizing presence early in the 2026-27 season. It also gives the home crowd a first chance to recognize the milestone.

What to watch: The ceremony comes ahead of Tuesday night's home game. His share of upcoming starts will shape the early rotation.
