What happened: Pittsburgh's Jalen Ramsey earned the AFC's weekly defensive honor on Oct. 21 ahead of an Oct. 25 trip to New Orleans. He forced a 4th-and-24 with a sack on Tampa Bay's opening drive on Oct. 18.

Why it matters: The 2016 fifth overall pick out of Florida State entered 2026 after an 88-tackle, three-sack 2025 across 17 games. The honor adds to a Pittsburgh tenure that includes a No. 82 spot on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026.

By the numbers: 2025 season (17 games): 88 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 interception. Draft: fifth overall in 2016. NFL Top 100 Players of 2026: No. 82.

What to watch: Pittsburgh faces New Orleans on Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network.
