What happened: Jamal Murray will sit out Sunday's exhibition contest due to personal reasons. The decision delays his first on-court action of the preseason slate.

Why it matters: The absence temporarily pauses his preparations for the 2026-27 campaign. Early exhibition games routinely feature conservative approaches to player availability.

What to watch: Monitor his practice participation this week to gauge his availability for upcoming matchups.
