What happened: Johnson is on the camp board at No. 16 for his 17th NBA season. The designation lands in preseason ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Why it matters: Johnson's 17-year span reflects rare staying power for a physical frontcourt role. That experience shapes camp competition for rotation minutes and roster spots.

What to watch: Watch preseason rotations for where Johnson slots in the frontcourt mix.
