We have placed WR Jaylin Lane on the Reserve/Injured List https://t.co/gB8tIGLKi8 Via @Commanders on X

What happened: Lane suffered a fractured, dislocated ankle in Sunday's game. The Washington Commanders drafted him in the fourth round in 2025, 128th overall out of Virginia Tech.

Why it matters: The move opens a roster spot at receiver and punt returner. With Lane sidelined for the season, Washington loses depth at both spots during the regular-season stretch.

By the numbers: Drafted 128th overall in 2025 out of Virginia Tech. Logged 16 receptions for 225 yards across 15 games in 2025.

What to watch: Watch for a corresponding elevation or signing to fill the receiver and return vacancy.
