What happened: Cash also goes to Utah in the reported swap. Minnesota is expected to keep Williams, the No. 10 pick in the 2024 draft.

Why it matters: The move creates room for Minnesota to complete its reported two-year, $13 million agreement while staying below the second apron. Utah adds a rotation guard entering the final year of his contract.

By the numbers: Williams averaged 8.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 67 games in 2025-26. Green averaged 4.3 points and 1.8 rebounds last season.

What to watch: Watch for league approval and corresponding roster moves before Minnesota finalizes its offseason additions.
