What happened: Utah cleared a camp backcourt spot by waiving Terrell Brown Jr. ahead of the 2026-27 preseason slate. The move lands on a game day with Utah set for a night date at Delta Center.

Why it matters: The opening gives Utah flexibility to evaluate remaining camp guards through preseason minutes. Early cuts typically settle backcourt rotation battles before the regular-season roster deadline.

What to watch: Watch Utah's next preseason rotations for which guards absorb the available minutes.
