What happened: Jenn Hatfield is stepping away from daily coverage of the Washington Mystics after eight seasons. She will maintain her roles as managing editor and Ivy League beat reporter for The IX Sports.

Why it matters: The transition removes a veteran reporter from Washington's media corps. Howard Megdal emphasized her continued operational leadership within the broader outlet.

What to watch: The IX Sports will determine its future coverage structure for the franchise.
