What happened: The Dallas Cowboys will have their newest defensive acquisition available against the Houston Texans. Joey Porter Jr. joins the active roster following his trade from Pittsburgh.

Why it matters: Dallas surrendered a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round selection to acquire the defender. The front office maintains over $16 million in salary cap space after completing the move.

By the numbers: Porter recorded 52 tackles and one interception over 14 games during the 2025 season. The Cowboys enter the matchup allowing 21.5 points per game, while Houston averages 15.7 points.

What to watch: The defensive staff will manage his integration into the secondary rotation throughout the scheduled contest.
