What happened: Collins continues to log exhibition reps with Detroit after entering his first training camp with the Pistons at the start of October. The veteran frontcourt piece also connected with Thompson for a reverse jam on Oct. 5 during the club's 2026-27 tune-up slate.

Why it matters: Detroit brought Collins in via a reported sign-and-trade departure from the Clippers in July to add a proven interior finisher to its rotation. Building rhythm with the Pistons' ball-handlers during the preseason sets his role ahead of opening night.

What to watch: Detroit finishes its remaining preseason schedule before opening the 2026-27 regular season at home.
